Iceland
This is my website about Iceland and its geothermal power system and history. Iceland has had a very interesting history of peace and democracy. In Iceland, English, German, and Danish are widely spoken. If you only spoke English then you would not have trouble living in Iceland. Because of Iceland's remote location, getting fossil fuels like oil and coal to the island is hard. This is why many have turned to geothermal power for their energy needs. During the summer, Iceland is transformed into an amazing place were life thrives. In contrast, Iceland can get very cold during the winter were streets need to be heated to stop ice from forming. Iceland was named the way it was because the Vikings wanted to keep people away from this amazing place. Greenland, named the opposite way, was supposed to attract people to a cold place with permanent ice sheets all over the island.
